Having launched a highly successful first edition in 2013, Take Off Conference is back and better than ever. As with last year’s edition, Take Off will again be held at Euratechnologies, Lille’s rising tech hub. Squarely focused on techies and digital innovators,Take-off seeks to bring together engineers, creators and technology managers to meet and learn from those who’ve designed some of the most successful web applications. Take-off is organized each year by APFTN, a non-profit organization founded in August 2012 by Benjamin TIERNY and Robin KOMIWES, founders of Fresc a pioneering tool for the creative sector, and Florian Le Goff, the first fully web-based tool for medical practitioners.
Although Take Off continues to be intimate in the sense that participants really get the opportunity to interact with some of tech’s best and brightest from around the globe, the program will be full-on including 20 talks/round-tables and 10 workshops, including such sessions as:
- WE MADE A HACK. WITH FIRE. A GUN. AND SOME ROBOTS. led by Twilio developer evangelist Michael Wawra
- SO EASY A CHILD COULD DO IT: DESIGNING APPS FOR LITTLE FINGERS led by Freelance interactive developer Kathryn Rotondo
- THE WEB IS ENERGY-INEFFICIENT, BUT WE CAN FIX IT! led by Opower Designer Justin Secor
- YOUR OWN-ADVENTURE WEB by Freelancer / HTML Spec Editor Robin Berjon
And, of course, many more…

One additional thing about Take-off that is really nice is that a key goal of the organizing team is to keep the conference accessible to as many as possible.
