After closing a seed round last year $680k and 2 years after their launch, live music travel platform Festicket has gone to raise $2.7 million with pan-europeam VCs, Wellington Partners and PROfounders Capital. Their seed investors Windcrest Partners, Playfair Capital, KIMA Ventures and Jacques-Antoine Granjon, also joined the round.
Festicket’s growth has accelerated over last year, with a 800% increase in turnover and their platform counts a membership base of over 300k+ global festival-goers and 500k monthly UVs. They now work with 200 music festivals globally, including the some of the top music festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Europe, Leeds & Reading.
Their latest round of funding will fuel three principal objectives: to accelerate their international expansion, grow their team and further evolve their commercial model, which combines industry-leading curated content, social community and e-commerce. As they continue to evolve their model, their looking to even further leverage their platform to help festival-goers to expand their trips into holidays. With demand from music fans to travel internationally travel to music festivals growing massively, Festicket believes the strength of their platform and unique offer makes them well-positioned to be the formidable leader in this area. They currently working with some of the largest travel companies to establish partnerships in order to make this aspect of their offer even more compelling.
