Launched by Yohan Ruso (ex-President of Ebay France), skill assessment platform Praditus has gone on to raise 1.3 million euros just four months after its founding. The round was led by Seventure Partners via their fund Quadrivium 1, with several entrepreneur and education-focused business angels participating.
Praditus goal is helping users to manage their professional development, via a free platform where they can assess their skills via personality (emotional intelligence, memory, personal motivation, etc) and ‘hard-skill’ (language, marketing, finance, etc) based tests. Unlike other skill assessment an emotional intelligence platforms available, Praditus seeks to ‘get the full picture’ of the user by understanding their full professional potential and suggesting actions around what they should do next. Thus, users create a personal development profile, which ultimately results in a concrete action plan.
As a free platform, Praditus is still working through the business model which they expect will be ready to roll-out in 2015. It looks, however, that it will center around value-added services that complement their platform, including coaching, training, webinars, etc.
