Just a year after their launch, Sevenhugs have just announced closing a €1.5 million seed round with several investors, including CapDecisif Management with the FRCI, NovX Capital (investment arm of the Noveo group), Kima Ventures, and business angels networks BADGE (Business Angels des Grandes Ecoles), Femmes Business Angels (FBA), and Investessor.
Sevenhugs is yet another example of France’s strength in the connected objects space. They focus on offering connected devices that improve well-being of the entire family. Their first device launch is the hugOne which family sleep better and monitors temperature, humidity and air quality for a healthier home. They successfully unveiled hugOne for the time at this year’s CES.
Co-founders Simon Tchedikian, Stéphane Jaubertou, Lionel Marty and Olivier Mandine, have extensive experience in the electronics and device space, with 60 years experience between them. They have ambitious plans for their first round of funding with plans to expand their product range and double their team to 20, a recruiting effort which they kicked-off last weekend at our Paris Startup Job Fair.
The hugOne is currently available on pre-order, which you can order here.
