Rude Baguette is proud to announce our ParisFounders Spring 2016 Meetup, which will focus on the Paris-San Francisco connection. Since 2013, ParisFounders has been the #1 networking opportunity in Paris to meet with founders, investors, journalists & innovators. Each edition, we bring together 750 attendees and have 5 Demo’s on stage and 5 Interviews with headline-making founders & innovators.
The majority of our Demo Alumni have gone on to raise money, sign major deals, even get acquired – some of them, like Prynt, Front & Birdly, have gone on to the Silicon Valley through Y Combinator or through Kickstarter. The French Connection in the Silicon Valley has historically been strong – I myself grew up going to school with the sons & daughters of French engineers, like Apple veteran and Docker investor Marc Verstaen – and the past 5 years have seen a flock of French entrepreneurs making names for themselves in the Silicon Valley.
For this edition, we’ll welcome special guests who have had an impact in Paris and “the Paris of the West,” as SF Mayor Ed Lee once called his own city. Our first speakers include Marc Rougier, co-founder of San Francisco- & Toulouse-based Scoop.it and newly appointed VC at Elaia Partners. I’ll also be talking on stage with Publicis Exec and organizer of the startup festival Vivatech Axel Dauchez, and we’ve got a few surprise guests flying in from San Francisco to talk about the Paris-SF connection.
Lastly, we’ll be making some major announcements about our plans for our ParisFounders October Edition, which will be the biggest edition of ParisFounders yet.
