The French Tech ecosystem this week continued to see a steady trickle of the kind of deals that increasingly seem to define it: small and early stage. The deals also were spread across the country.
Here are some of the most notable:
Yestudent: Based in Toulouse and born of a student project at a business school, this company is an AirBNB for university students. How do you say “beer bong” in French? In any case, they raised €450,000 in a round led by Capitol Angels, also based in Toulouse.
YouTransactor: This Paris company bagged €2 million in a round led by BlackFin Capital Partners. The company has been around since 2006, and it offers mobile payment and security solutions.
Hélicéo: This Nantes company makes drones for civil professionals who need to take photos of work sites and other large areas. Business must be looking up! (See what they did there?). The company raised €1.5 million from Sequoia Développement and Siparex.
Pixmap: Located near Nice, this company makes software for robots and drones that let them visualize the world in 3-D. Pixmap raised €1.2 million from International Technology Solutions.
Apizee: Tucked away in Lannion, Apizee makes real-time communications software. The team raised €1 million from Breizh Angels and Angel Source.
