In March 2012 Philippe Dapsens, ambassador and administrator of the Paris-Dauphine Foundation, successfully launched D-INCUBATOR, a 12-month incubator/accelerator program with the support of the Paris-Dauphine Foundation, Dauphine University, and its alumni. Having these three groups supporting and participating in various ways in making the program a success, D-INCUBATOR has brought a valuable new model to Paris’ incubator and accelerator scene. As a result they’ve been labelled PIA (Paris Innovation Amorçage) by the City of Paris and BPI France.
D-INCUBATOR has a triple mission, notably to:
- Help the startups in the program to launch and develop
- Train and coach the entrepreneurs in the program
- Provide guidance to the teams in the program on potential sources of financing (i.e grants/subventions, angel investors, etc)
Currently there are 10 startups being incubated in the program: cabin(e), Click&Boat, Geronimo, Jobtruster, Kooblit, Le Closet, Pièce du boucher, Teezily, TodayinParis and Whask.
If you’d like more information about applying to D-INCUBATOR, you can contact Estelle Basquin, Head of Development D-INCUBATOR at estelle.basquin@dauphine.fr. You can also check-out their Facebook page which provides lots of information on their current startup class and the program in general.
On March 31st, D-INCUBATOR will be celebrating its 3rd birthday! The event will include a pitch competition and talks from the entrepreneurs who have participated in the program. All are welcome to join, so you can sign-up to attend here!
